I began the process of preparing my papers for a mission. This included a fun doctor's exam, immunizations, dental visits, and wisdom teeth removed.
In preparing for my mission, I wanted to receive my Patriarchal Blessing. I fasted to prepare for my Blessing, and it was also the Fast and Feast for Young Men/Young Womens - great timing. On November 18th, I went to Patriarch Peterson's home with my family. It was a spiritual and humbling experience. I am glad I will have my Blessing as a guide to my life.
By Spring Conference 2013, I had finished and submitted my mission papers. I had my final interview with the Bishop and members of the Stake Presidency. Now I had to wait for my call from President Thomas S. Monson.
